A 37-year-old Thai woman has sparked widespread conversation across Southeast Asia after marrying two Austrian men during a single ceremony
The event took place on 28 February, Saturday, in Buriram province, where Dujduan Ketsaro exchanged vows with two close friends after a multi-year relationship the trio describes as being built on mutual respect and affection, as reported by Khaosod.
The unconventional arrangement began several years ago when Dujduan — a mother of three who was previously married to a Thai national — met Roman, a retired Austrian police officer.
The pair initially met while she was working in the coastal city of Pattaya and subsequently cohabited for five years. Their relationship eventually expanded to include Roman's close friend, Macky, who currently serves as a police officer in Austria.

After Macky developed romantic feelings for Dujduan, the three engaged in open discussions about their future together
A year after Macky joined the household, the trio agreed to formalise their bond through a traditional ceremony. While the arrangement may seem unusual, the participants emphasised that the long-standing friendship between the two men provided a stable foundation for their shared life.
Dujduan's parents expressed their full support for the union, noting that their primary concern remained the well-being of their daughter. Her mother remarked that she had witnessed Dujduan's previous hardships and felt content as long as her daughter remained happy and well cared for by her partners.
The family prioritised the emotional stability and financial security provided by the two men over traditional societal expectations.

The ceremony also involved a significant financial commitment from both grooms
Roman and Macky each pledged a dowry of one million baht — approximately RM132,000 per person — to Dujduan's family.
Despite the substantial sum, Dujduan's mother maintained that the family remained focused on the longevity of the relationship rather than the money. She noted that her only hope is for the trio to continue living together with love and mutual understanding.
