Following a recent rise in global oil prices, the government has announced a slight increase in the retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia

Effective tomorrow, 18 September, the new prices are:

  • RON97: Up 3 sen to RM3.21 per litre
  • Diesel (Peninsular Malaysia): Up 3 sen to RM2.93 per litre
  • Diesel (Sabah, Sarawak & Labuan): Unchanged at RM2.15 per litre

RON95 remains at RM2.05 per litre

The Ministry of Finance said RON95 prices remain unchanged, keeping them stable for consumers.

It also noted that the current diesel price in Peninsular Malaysia remains below the RM3.35 per litre rate first floated on 10 June 2024.

Authorities will continue to monitor global oil trends and adjust prices as necessary, while ensuring price stability and protecting public welfare.
