Prasarana Malaysia Berhad has announced price adjustments for several Rapid KL travel passes, effective 1 January 2026
In a statement last week, Prasarana said this is the first major price revision for Rapid KL travel passes since 2009, aligning with the expansion of its public transport network and the need to ensure long-term service stability and sustainability.
"This adjustment is based on a comprehensive study of usage patterns, the expansion of the service network, and current operating costs," said Acting Group Stakeholder Experience Management and Marketing Department head Ashok Panchalingam.

Key price updates include:
– Rapid Kota (Malaysians): RM10 (1-day), RM25 (3-day)
– Rapid Kembara (Tourists): RM25 (1-day), RM55 (3-day)
– Rapid Keluarga (Malaysians): RM30
– Rapid Bulanan (30-day unlimited): RM150 for Malaysians and non-Malaysians
As part of its product enhancements, Prasarana has introduced Rapid Bulanan, a new 30-day unlimited travel pass covering Rapid KL rail and bus services. The pass is aimed at frequent users, especially expatriates and long-term visitors, amid rising public transport demand.

Prasarana emphasised that prices for the Malaysians-only My50, Rapid Emas, and Rapid Mesra concession cards will remain unchanged
Meanwhile, starting 1 January 2026, new applications for the Rapid Pelajar concession card will be limited to Malaysian students only.
Existing foreign student pass holders will continue to enjoy a 50% discount until their passes expire or 31 December 2026, whichever comes first.
