Officers rushed to the scene and retrieved clothing from the car to cover the woman, shielding her from the chilly 10°C evening temperatures, as reported by CTWant.

Traffic was briefly disrupted as authorities secured the area and ensured her safety.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman had been in a heated argument with her 38-year-old partner while he was driving her home

The dispute reportedly stemmed from disagreements over the illness of the woman's child from a previous marriage.

According to reports, the argument also involved conflicts over financial management and a perceived lack of emotional support.

Medical personnel at the scene assessed the woman as emotionally unstable

She was involuntarily committed to Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, where her condition has since stabilised.

Her partner, who remained calm throughout the ordeal, tested negative for alcohol and drugs. The woman has indicated she does not intend to press charges.

However, authorities have filed a report under Taiwan's Domestic Violence Prevention Act to notify the municipal government of follow-up social work intervention.
