Hot and dry weather is expected to continue across most parts of Peninsular Malaysia, particularly in the northern region, until 31 January
In a statement yesterday, 25 January, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) said the forecast is based on current weather model analyses.
While dry conditions are expected to persist in the Peninsular, METMalaysia noted that wind convergence is likely to affect Sabah, Labuan, and Sarawak from 29 to 31 January.
"This may result in thunderstorms accompanied by prolonged heavy rainfall in the affected areas during this period," said METMalaysia director-general Dr Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip.
