Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has announced that the Ministry of Education (MOE) will begin the nationwide rollout of the Student Protection Policy this week
This comprehensive policy is designed to go beyond traditional anti-bullying measures, addressing sexual harassment, physical abuse, and student mental health, according to the New Straits Times.
As part of the implementation, the ministry is introducing a joint pledge.
By next week, parents and key stakeholders will be required to sign the document, signifying a collective responsibility to maintain a safe and disciplined school environment.

This guidebook will be distributed to parents and the public to enhance awareness of safe school practices.
It serves as a standardised reference for schools to manage incidents of bullying and harassment with greater transparency.
"This policy is not only about bullying, but also covers sexual harassment, all forms of abuse, and issues closely related to mental health," she said.
