The Kedah State Education Department (JPN) has removed two teachers from their respective schools following viral allegations of sexual misconduct on social media
According to Sinar Harian, the department said in a statement today, 4 December, that the two separate cases are currently under investigation.
"Kedah JPN takes seriously the allegations of sexual misconduct involving two teachers in the state that have circulated on social media.
"Action has been taken to remove the teachers involved from educational institutions under the Education Ministry until investigations are completed," the statement said.
The department added that it will not tolerate any form of sexual misconduct and remains committed to prioritising the safety and wellbeing of students, teachers, and the entire school community.

The cases were brought to light by education influencer and former teacher, Mohd Fadli Salleh, on Facebook
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, 2 December, he shared screenshots of text messages allegedly showing a male secondary school teacher grooming a 15-year-old female student in Alor Setar.
The screenshots purportedly show the teacher asking to meet the student privately, requesting that she call him "abang", and asking for kisses and hugs on multiple occasions.
In a separate post, Mohd Fadli highlighted another case in Alor Setar, where a 17-year-old student recently filed a police report against a teacher who allegedly made frequent obscene remarks in class.
She filed the report in hopes of a proper investigation, after previously reporting the teacher to other staff and the headmaster. This reportedly resulted in both the concerned teachers and the offending teacher being transferred.
