Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that the government is introducing a new anti-bullying bill

During the tabling of Belanjawan 2026 today, Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said the Ministry of Education (MOE) is introducing a comprehensive guide called the School Anti-Bullying Framework (SAFE) to prevent bullying in schools.

The initiative will also empower teachers and students through Program Amalan Sekolah Penyayang.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Higher Education will enhance campus safety by installing additional CCTVs at local universities

Character-building and leadership programmes will also be introduced to curb bullying and 'ragging' among university students.

The prime minister added that the Ministry of Communications will implement the Safe Internet Campaign aimed at boosting cyber awareness among school students.
