[PHOTOS] Parts Of Selangor Hit By Severe Flash Floods After Thunderstorms And Heavy Rain
Two men almost drowned as they were trapped in a vehicle due to the flash floods.

The MET said that thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds over Selangor (Kuala Selangor, Petaling, Klang, Kuala Langat, Sepang, and Hulu Langat Districts) and other areas in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor, were expected to persist until late in the morning.

It was learned that water levels stood at three feet at 5am
New Straits Times (NST) reported that the affected areas by the floods included the residential areas in Bandar Bukit Raja and Taman Rasah, and other places such as Padang Jawa, the Sungai Rasau toll, and the Bukit Raja flyover.
Two men, whose vehicle was trapped in a flash flood, nearly drowned
During the 5am incident nearby the AEON Bukit Raja Shopping centre, two men aged 43 and 58 were promptly rescued by bomba.
Kosmo reported Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of Operations Mohd Sani as saying that they received a call on the incident and rushed to the scene to help the victims.
"Upon arrival at the scene, the water had risen as high as about one metre and the two men were trapped inside a truck, both of which were successfully taken to safety," he was quoted as saying.

The floods appeared to have slowly subsided over time as police officers were deployed to control traffic flow
