Traffic offenders who have failed to pay their summons before the 30 September deadline are now blacklisted by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL)
Discounts were given prior to the deadline as a means to encourage traffic offenders to clear their summons.
"For now, we will press ahead with blacklisting the traffic offenders," KL Mayor Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan said, as reported by New Straits Times. He added that the blacklisting was decided upon by Federal Territories Minister Khalid Samad.

It is reported that DBKL managed to collect only around RM2 million despite offering up to 70% in discounts on summonses back in September
However, it was RM98 million short of their RM100 million target.
Around four million traffic summonses were issued to offenders up to August this year and it amounts to almost RM1 billion, according to DBKL records.
