Police have arrested a 29-year-old local man after a viral video showed a car performing dangerous drifting on the winding road to Genting Highlands
According to Harian Metro, Bentong district police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar said authorities discovered the 14-second video on TikTok and began efforts to track down the driver on 2 March.
The video showed a BMW 325i drifting dangerously through several sharp bends along the uphill mountain road.
"Preliminary investigations found that the driver was making reckless turns at road bends, which could endanger other road users," he said.

Police confirmed that the suspect turned himself in at the Bentong District police headquarters on Friday, 6 March, while driving the same vehicle featured in the video
"The suspect was then detained and the vehicle was also seized for further action," he added.
Initial urine screenings showed no evidence of drug use.
The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.
