The wait is almost over, because the Education Ministry has confirmed that SPM 2025 results will be out on 31 March

According to the ministry, a total of 413,299 candidates registered for the exam last year, which was conducted across 3,350 centres nationwide.
If you're a school candidate, you can collect your results from 10am at your respective schools on 31 March, while private candidates can refer to your respective State Education Department (JPN) to obtain your results.
You can also check online through the official website or by SMS by typing: SPM(space)IC number(space)Candidate number and sending it to 15888.
So, what if you're not happy with your SPM results?

To appeal your SPM results, you need to submit a remarking application within 30 days after the results have been made public.
The process is quite straight-forward, just visit the e-Lembaga Peperiksaan website or download the e-Lembaga Peperiksaan app and create an account.
Once you're able to login to the system, you can now choose to submit your chosen subjects for remarking. Do note that this process costs RM100 per subject.
Once you've submitted your request, all you can do now is wait for the reviewed results that typically takes a maximum of two months after the appeal deadline. You must also remember that an appeal won't guarantee you a higher grade.
In the event that your reviewed results remain the same, don't worry. You can always choose to retake SPM subjects via SPM Ulangan (SPMU).

After results are released, registration for SPMU typically opens a few months later through the Sistem Pengurusan Peperiksaan Atas Talian (SPPAT) official portal.
You'll need to log into your account, choose the subjects you want to retake, and pay the required fees which vary according to subject.
Once you're registered, the next phase is preparation. Unlike your first SPM run, you'll most likely be studying independently, which means being a bit more disciplined with your revisions.
The SPMU exam itself is usually held towards the end of the year, often around November or December, depending on the official schedule. After sitting for the papers, you'll receive your results separately, and if your new grade is better, it will automatically replace your previous one.
