Disney magic officially set sail in Singapore and it came with a very Marvel-level surprise
The Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line's newest and largest ship, was christened in a dazzling ceremony filled with music, Disney characters, and a special appearance by none other than Robert Downey Jr.

The celebration marked a huge milestone for Disney Cruise Line, as the Disney Adventure becomes the company's first-ever ship to homeport in Asia, launching a new chapter for Disney fans across the region
Held inside the ship's stunning Walt Disney Theatre while docked in Singapore, the christening ceremony felt more like a full-blown concert than a traditional launch.
Guests were treated to regional performers, cinematic visuals, and iconic songs from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel, all backed by a live 23-piece orchestra.
Performances included powerhouse vocals from Malaysian singer Jed Madela and Eurovision favourite Dami Im, turning the ceremony into a musical celebration of Disney storytelling.
And of course, it wouldn't be Disney without appearances from Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse themselves.

The biggest moment of the night came when Robert Downey Jr, who played Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appeared as the ship's official godparent
In true Tony Stark fashion, he delivered the ceremonial blessing with a little flair.
"You bring the theme and I'll bring the thunder," he said before officially declaring: "I christen thee, Disney Adventure, may God bless this ship and all who sail upon her."
Honestly, could there be a more on-brand way to launch a Disney cruise packed with Marvel experiences?

The Disney Adventure is the eighth ship in Disney Cruise Line's fleet and its largest to date, part of a global expansion that will see several more ships join by 2031
It embarks on its maiden voyage on 10 March, kicking off an inaugural season of three- and four-night sailings filled with entertainment, themed experiences, and plenty of Disney nostalgia.
With Singapore as its homeport at Marina Bay Cruise Centre, Disney cruising is now closer than ever for Southeast Asian fans. No more long-haul flights halfway across the world.
