For decades, this humble bowl of shaved ice, green jelly, and gula Melaka syrup has brought comfort to countless locals.

And now it's ready to win over taste buds in Taipei.

The new outlet in Taipei officially opened its doors on 1 September

Located at the Far Eastern SOGO Taipei Fuxing Store, the stall is part of the mall's food street lineup, serving up Malaysian flavours to curious Taiwanese foodies and nostalgic Malaysians abroad.

It's a major milestone for the brand, which has proudly carried its 89-year legacy of history from Lebuh Keng Kwee in George Town all the way to the international stage

While the star attraction is, of course, their Signature Chendul, the outlet also serves Penang White Curry Mee and Steamed Rice Roll (chee cheong fan).

It's like a mini hawker tour in one stop, giving Malaysians in Taipei a quick taste of home without having to fly back for a food trip.

From Lebuh Keng Kwee to the streets of Taipei, this milestone proves that Malaysian flavours deserve a place on the world stage

It's a sweet reminder that what we've been enjoying for generations isn't just local comfort food, but part of Malaysia's culinary legacy, now making us proud on the international stage.
