Ramadan and Raya this year turned out to be a major win for local sellers on TikTok Shop

Malaysian-made products and Mall brands recorded over 130% year-on-year (YoY) sales growth. According to TikTok Shop, the strong performance came from growing consumer trust, festive demand, and continued support for local entrepreneurs through its #JomLokal initiative.
The growth covers both Malaysian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under #JomLokal and authenticity-verified brands on TikTok Shop Mall, showing how both local and established sellers benefited during the festive period.
A major contributor to this performance is TikTok Shop's RM20 million #JomLokal Booster Stimulus Package
The package was introduced to support small businesses in Malaysia and help them grow their presence online.
Since its launch in September 2025, the programme has helped:
- Over 5,000 MSMEs through commission fee waivers
- More than 1,000 MSMEs through 14 upskilling workshops
- Over 1,000 affiliate creators through matchmaking sessions that helped promote local products

In simple terms, more sellers got easier access to the platform, better skills to sell online, and stronger support from content creators who helped bring their products to wider audiences.
TikTok Shop also highlighted that safety and trust continue to play a big role in shaping consumer confidence on the platform
Globally, the company has invested nearly USD1 billion (RM4.03 billion) in tools, technology, and teams focused on keeping the platform safe for users.
Between January and June 2025 alone, TikTok Shop:
- Rejected more than 70 million product listing attempts that violated policies
- Declined 1.4 million seller registration applications that did not meet its standards
It also introduced the #ShopSafe initiative in April 2025 to educate users on avoiding online scams and making safer purchases.
"Concurrently, homegrown MSMEs are not falling behind and have consistently shown competitive resilience, as they are able to be discovered and build communities through TikTok Shop.
"We are committed to continuously spotlighting Malaysian-made products and empowering local entrepreneurs through #JomLokal to drive inclusive economic growth and digital participation for local MSMEs," TikTok Shop Malaysia's Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, Nur Azre Abdul Aziz stated during the TikTok Shop Raikan Raya award ceremony.
The momentum was also celebrated at the TikTok Shop Raikan Raya event

The TikTok Shop Raikan Raya event saw top local sellers and affiliate creators being recognised for their performance during the festive season. It was officiated by Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil and Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching, reflecting government support for the platform's role in boosting digital commerce in Malaysia.
For those looking to start selling, TikTok Shop encourages MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs to register via TikTok Shop Seller Center
