If you've made a trip to Sunway Square Mall recently, you may have noticed one of your favourite restaurants opening there

That's right, Hock Kee Kopitiam is now at the newly opened four-level retail and lifestyle destination at Sunway City Kuala Lumpur.
Since its founding in Johor Bahru in 2018, Hock Kee Kopitiam has come a long way, including opening its first Klang Valley outlet in Bangsar South in 2023, and obtaining halal certification in 2024.

"This marks our 16th outlet… From the very beginning, our vision has been to create Nanyang cuisine that all Malaysians can enjoy. By adopting a 'No Pork, No Lard' approach and continuously working towards halal certification, inclusivity has always been at the heart of everything we do," shared Nick Ng, founder of Hock Kee Kopitiam.
At the core of Hock Kee Kopitiam is the Malaysian value of muhibbah
It's a uniquely Malaysian way of life that celebrates unity through shared experiences, especially food. The brand's diverse menu caters to all communities and dietary preferences, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, can dine with comfort and peace of mind.

At this new outlet, customers can enjoy a wide variety Malaysian favourites, including Hock Kee's signature Nasi Lemak Banjir, Curry Laksa, Steamed Chicken Rice, Satay Fried Kuey Teow as well as Johor specialties like Classic Laksa Johor Asli and Soto Ayam with Nasi Impit and Lontong.
Hock Kee Kopitiam prides itself in freshly prepared, made-to-order dishes, never relying on pre-made or frozen meals

With standardised kitchen operations and rigorous hygiene practices, the brand ensures consistency and quality across all outlets. Over the past eight years, Hock Kee has continued to evolve its menu, introducing new dishes that preserve and celebrate Malaysia's rich culinary heritage.
By the end of 2025, the brand aims to expand more outlets nationwide, continuing to serve as a warm gathering place for locals, travellers, and families.
