If you want to inject some fun into your kids' school holiday activities, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) has just the thing!
For the first time, GSC is combining two major events, the GSC x AIA Vitality Playfest and the GSC Popcorn Run 2025, into one jam-packed, three-day festival called the GSC Ultimate Family Adventure (GUFA).
Held at IOI City Mall 2, Putrajaya, from 19 to 21 September, GUFA promises a one-of-a-kind experience with carnival vibes, live activities, fitness fun, and loads of popcorn!
Here's a breakdown of what's happening:
GSC x AIA Vitality PlayFest

Celebrating its fourth year, the PlayFest is going all-out with four themed zones built for family bonding and play: Movie, Main, Makan, and Market.
There's something for each family member to enjoy:
- Movie Zone: Where cinematic dreams come alive! Kids can explore booths from Papa Zola The Movie, Gabby's Dollhouse, Wicked for Good, Zootopia 2, Harry Potter (via Sheldonet), and more.
- Main Zone: A mega play pit, fun challenges, and nonstop kid-friendly chaos.
- Makan Zone: Expect GSC's iconic caramel popcorn, Dutch Lady goodies, and Coca-Cola refuels.
- Market Zone: Explore booths from AIA Vitality, Applecrumby, Alliance Bank, U Mobile and more, with games, kid products, and giveaways.
There will also be live performances, workshops, and carnival activities to make this more than just a weekend mall trip!
GSC Popcorn Run 2025

Time: 7am to 12pm
Venue: Symphony Walk (East), IOI City Mall, Putrajaya

The GSC Porpcorn Run returns for its seventh year, and this time it's part fitness, part carnival, and straight-up fun!
Choose from two race categories:
- 3km Family Route: Chill vibes and a shorter distance perfect for kids and newer runners.
- 5km Route: For those who want a little extra cardio before the popcorn galore.
Every participant who joins will receive a Popcorn Run t-shirt, a goodie bag filled with treats, a magnet-style finisher medal, and a 2D movie ticket for one of Gabby's Dollhouse, Papa Zola The Movie, Wicked for Good, or Zootopia 2.
During the run, make sure to keep an eye out for fun pit stops, including a mid-run popcorn station, as well as a post-race party with games food trucks, photo ops, and mascots!
There will also be special zones with unique themes, such as a movie zone with life-sized characters and early peeks at upcoming blockbusters, and a food zone with samples from top brands such as Coca-Cola and Dutch Lady.
Plus, if you register early, you'll enjoy 10% savings with the Family Bunle (two adults + two kids), or you can also snag Early Bird pricing if you're among the first 1,000 runners!
