This Ramadan and Raya, Grab Malaysia focused on simple ways to make a big difference

The #GrabBersamaMalaysia campaign brought people together by restoring community spaces and supporting families. Employees, driver- and delivery-partners, merchant-partners, and local residents all pitched in. It was a reminder that even small acts of kindness made a real difference during Ramadan.
One of the standout efforts during the campaign was restoring Surau Nur Ramadhan in Kampung Paya Seberang, Hulu Langat

The facility had fallen into disrepair, so Grab joined forces with GXBank, Jaya Grocer, and Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) to give it a fresh start.
Instead of hiring outsiders, employees, driver- and delivery-partners, and villagers joined forces in a gotong-royong effort. Together, they repaired, repainted, and refreshed the space just in time for Ramadan.
The surau restoration is part of a wider initiative that spans 16 locations nationwide
"We weren't just fixing walls or applying a fresh coat of paint," said Grab Malaysia's director of country operations and mobility, Rashid Shukor.
"This surau is a place where the community gathers during Ramadan and throughout the year. Seeing our driver-, delivery-partners, employees and villagers come together to restore it while fasting reflects what #GrabBersamaMalaysia is about: A community looking after one another," he added.
It didn't stop there, nearly 10,000 bubur lambuk packets were also distributed

Together with driver- and delivery-partners, Grab prepared and distributed almost 10,000 packets of bubur lambuk, keeping the tradition of sharing warm iftar meals alive from Kota Bharu to Sandakan.
Grab also hosted a special iftar gatherings for driver- and delivery-partners and their families in the Klang Valley

In collaboration with LZS, children received duit raya, while families were provided with daily essentials from Jaya Grocer. It's a thoughtful way to recognise the sacrifices families make every day to support Malaysia's digital economy.

The campaign's message is also told through Grab Malaysia's brand film, Sabar's on the Way
Inspired by a viral real-life moment between a delivery-partner named Sabar and a customer, the comedic musical reimagines Tunggu Sekejap, made famous by P. Ramlee. It follows Sabar navigating unexpected challenges to complete a delivery, a lighthearted reminder that patience and kindness go a long way.
The film also celebrates the dedication of Grab's driver- and delivery-partners.
