We managed to get in touch with DuDu over the weekend and learn a few more things about this Malaysian artist. Read on to know more.
SAYS: Can you tell us a little bit more about yourself, Dudu?
**DuDu:** Hi I'm DuDu, an artist who shares the joy of doodling. Wherever I go, I will leave a masterpiece to someone with passion; someone who needs encouragement or happiness. Apart from drawing on serviettes, do spot my mural masterpiece too. If you catch me doodling, just say the magic words "Hi, are you the doodle guy?" and I will give you a masterpiece.

How long have you been doodling?
**DuDu:** I've been doodling for 20 years. I started my doodle giveaway journey last year in October.

So, where do you get the inspiration to doodle?
**DuDu:** These days, people are struggling to make a living, including myself. What helps me de-stress is to doodle a good piece; what really cheers people up is getting a good doodle and it cheers me up too. Sharing is caring. That's how the doodle journey started.

Has Instagram changed your doodling style or how has Instagram made doodling different for you?
**DuDu:** Instagram didn't change my style much. I'm flexible with: animation/cartoon, semi realistic or realistic styles. **It's quite a surprise that the response of a piece of an art done in 30 minutes is better than one that is done in 5 hours. It's not enough to be creative with the artwork; nowadays captions need to be fun and witty as well.**
Instagram helps to drive users to get to know more about my page. It also gives a platform for Malaysian artists to share, connect and gain more exposure with the artistic world.
Most of DuDu's artwork has been given away. He keeps some for his own collection.
**DuDu:** I have been quite fortunate because some cafes/restaurants went the extra miles by displaying my artwork in prominent position within their premises.
