When you think of 7-Eleven in Malaysia, you probably imagine Slurpees, buns, or quick snack runs in between classes
But in South Korea, 7-Eleven is levelling up with the launch of the country's first -ever Matcha Highball.
Yes, matcha as a cocktail. In a convenience store.

From what we've read, the Matcha Highball combines earthy matcha, fizzy soda, and 3% alcohol
Apparently, it's not too strong, just a light hint of matcha. So, even if you're not a hardcore green tea fan, it should still be pretty easy to sip.
Sounds like a fun, modern drink that you can just grab on the go, perfect for one of those random store pit stop moments.
Full disclaimer, we haven't actually tried it ourselves yet, so we're basically going off the description, but honestly, it sounds intriguing enough to make the trip worthwhile. 😛
Priced at 4,500 won (around RM13.50), the Matcha Highball is now available at 7-Eleven stores across South Korea
There's also a tempting promotion running from 1 October to 31 October, where you can grab three cans for 12,000 won (RM36).
For now, this unique highball is strictly a South Korea exclusive, so if you're planning a trip, consider this a must-add to your taste-test list.
