Legendary Malaysian actor Datuk Rosyam Nor has bagged the Selebriti Viral Terhangat award at Anugerah Melodi Terhangat 2025
The win was all thanks to his unforgettable performance in the hit TV3 drama, Keluarga Itu. A simple but iconic moment where his character, Iman, bites his lip unexpectedly exploded on social media, especially TikTok.
That one scene didn't just get people talking; it turned into a massive trend, inspiring thousands of parody videos online.
The impact was huge, generating over 1.3 billion mentions online and helping the drama rake in more than 11 million views throughout its run.
The 58-year-old actor said he never expected the viral success
He admitted he was shocked to receive the award, saying he initially hesitated to accept the role of Iman.
"At first, I didn't want to accept the offer because I was worried that the audience would end up hating Iman for being an antagonist," the actor shared.
He credited the show's producer, Erma Fatima, for convincing him to take on the challenge as part of his responsibility as an actor.
He added that the award is especially meaningful, as it shows that veteran actors like him are still relevant and can even spark new phenomena in the local entertainment scene.
"This award is such a meaningful recognition. I'd like to thank everyone, especially TV3 and Erma Fatima, for the trust they've given me," he shared.
