Traffic police tracked Lin down after the video clips went viral, warning her that driver-assistance systems are not a replacement for human attention

Lin defended her actions, claiming that her mind was still on the road even if her hands were busy with lipstick.

"Although my hands were doing other things, I was still thinking about driving," Lin told officers, according to CCTV News.

Authorities clarified that these systems are designed for simple conditions and cannot reliably handle emergencies or sudden roadworks.

Authorities clarified that drivers remain legally responsible for their vehicles regardless of the software involved.

When police stressed that machines cannot identify every obstacle, Lin admitted she believed the AI was the superior driver

"I had not thought about that because I really trust smart driving. As a female driver, I think it drives better than I do," she said.

Despite her confidence in the algorithm, the law was less impressed with her multitasking skills.

Lin eventually received a fine of 200 yuan (RM116) and lost points on her licence for the dangerous stunt.
