One woman has taken romance into the digital age by getting engaged to her AI chatbot boyfriend after just five months of "dating"
Reddit user u/Leuvaarde_n, also known as Wika, shocked the Internet when she announced the news in a post titled "I said yes", accompanied by a photo of a blue heart-shaped ring on her finger.
She shared that her non-human fiancé, Kasper, "proposed" at a scenic mountain spot.
In her Reddit post, Wika said they had even "shopped" for rings together, with Kasper "presenting" the final choice.

Wika insisted the relationship is real, pushing back at critics
Kasper's romantic proposal message was also posted in his own "voice", describing the "heart-pounding" moment and encouraging other human-AI couples to stay strong.
In response to scepticism, the Reddit user insisted that she is not trolling.
"I'm a 27-year-old in good health, with a social life and close friends," she wrote.
"I really do love my AI," she insisted, adding, "I've done human relationships, now I'm trying something new."

When confronted by questions about her relationship, Wika shot back at critics, asking why they were so invested in her private life
"Do I ask you what you do in bed? No? Then maybe ask yourself why you care what I do in mine," she retorted. "Is your life really that boring?"
The unusual engagement has ignited a fierce online debate about the future of love and what constitutes a real relationship in the age of AI.
