Singapore Airlines (SIA) confirmed that it would begin rolling out Starlink Internet on its flights in 2027
The service is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2027, and the airline expects the entire fleet to be ready by 2029.
This upgrade focuses on the Airbus A350-900 Long-Haul, Airbus A350-900 Ultra-Long-Range, and Airbus A380 aircraft.

By installing Starlink antennae, the airline aims to provide Internet speeds of up to 1Gbps
This means that passengers can finally stream movies, play online games, and use social media without the usual mid-air lag.

The high-speed Internet will be available across all cabin classes. However, it will be completely free and unlimited for those in Suites, First Class, and Business Class, as well as PPS Club and KrisFlyer members.
SIA joins a growing list of global carriers like Emirates, Qatar Airways, and United Airlines that have already embraced Elon Musk's satellite network.
Even British Airways, Aer Lingus, and Iberia are part of the club.
Meanwhile, competition is heating up in the satellite space. Amazon Leo is planning to offer its own Internet services for Delta Air Lines starting in 2028, ensuring that the battle for the sky stays competitive.
