In a classic display of tech rivalry, Samsung took aim at Apple after the launch of the iPhone 17 smartphones
Shortly after Apple unveiled its new iPhone 17 lineup, Samsung Mobile US posted on X, cheekily resurfacing its 2022 tweet that read, "Let us know it when it folds," with the caption, "#iCant believe this is still relevant."
The digs didn't stop there. Targeting the new iPhone's camera, Samsung quipped, "48MP x 3 still doesn't equal 200MP."
The company also poked fun at other new features, posting, "#iCant believe some people had to wait five years for Sleep Score."
Apple's event showcased several new devices, including the iPhone 17 Air, its thinnest model yet at just 5.6mm
The new model, which starts at RM4,999, aims to deliver high performance in a super-slim design.
Other announcements included the AirPods Pro 3, which now feature live language translation, and the Apple Watch Series 11, which introduced sleep score tracking.
Samsung's response to the new translation feature was pointed: "[Apple] just announced live translation at Zzz-note. All we can say is, welcome to the party #iCant," suggesting the feature is old news for its users.
It seems some things, like this tech rivalry, never change.
