The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra isn't just another powerful Android tablet. It's also Samsung's most intelligent one yet.

Combining a sleek, ultra-thin design with cutting-edge AI tools, it redefines what a tablet can do for both work and creativity.

With a 3nm processor, an upgraded DeX experience, and the debut of One UI 8, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra feels less like a mobile device and more like a glimpse of Samsung's AI-first future.

The Ultra leans heavily into artificial intelligence, but not in a gimmicky way

Instead, it's helpful and useful. The standout addition is Gemini Live, a multimodal AI assistant designed to understand what you type, say, or even show it.

For example, imagine you're tasked to watch a long training video at work or require reading long articles for research, it can take up a lot of time and, if the subject matter, isn't particularly riveting, you may find yourself zoning out and having to go back again.

Enter Gemini. Just long-press the side button, ask Gemini to "summarise this and save it to Samsung Notes", and it just does it for you.

It's fast, contextual, and good at following up across apps.

Naturally, it's not fool-proof, and it's always a must to double check any AI work. But the ease and convenience truly makes your workflow so much more efficient.

For students and professionals, this means less app-hopping and more staying in the flow. During a lecture or talk, for instance, you can ask Gemini to interpret a chart you're pointing at with the camera or summarise your handwritten notes in seconds.

What's not to love? It's truly a great addition.

AI quietly supports the S Pen experience, too

With Drawing Assist, rough doodles can be turned into clean, polished visuals, while Writing Assist refines tone and grammar when drafting text in Samsung Notes or emails.

It's a simple thing but having these tools built-in makes creative work easier.

To be clear, AI isn't yet at the point where it can replace humans. But I do find that it's an excellent way to amplify what you're already doing.

For instance, I am not a graphic designer. When I need help from the graphics team, it can be hard to explain what I'm envisioning. But with Drawing Assist, I can quickly provide a mockup that provides a clearer explanation to the professional team to execute.

Likewise with writing, it's an easy starting point before you take over to refine in your own voice.

The redesigned S Pen itself feels more ergonomic, with a hexagonal body and improved tilt recognition for smoother sketching. Combined with Quick Tools and Sticky Notes, it's easy to jump between thoughts, sketches, and annotations without losing your flow.

Samsung DeX also gets the AI treatment. The new Extended Mode turns the Tab S11 Ultra and an external monitor into a dual-screen setup without the use of cables.

You can drag windows between displays or reference one workspace while presenting on another.

It's complemented by support for up to four customised workspaces, each tailored to different needs. For example, you could set up one for work, another for your upcoming vacation plans, and maybe one just for your weekly meal prep.

If you pair it with the Book Cover Keyboard Slim, the dedicated Galaxy AI Key gives you instant access to assistants like Gemini, making it feel closer than ever to a full-fledged laptop replacement.

The S11 Ultra's new Mediatek Dimensity 9400+ processor is built to handle AI workloads efficiently

Samsung claims up to 33% better NPU performance for on-device AI tasks, alongside boosts in CPU and GPU power.

That efficiency translates into real-world endurance. During testing, the Ultra lasted over 17 hours of continuous video playback. AI here isn't draining your battery; it's optimising how the tablet runs.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is the most powerful tablet I've used

For me, it replaces my work laptop. The ultra is intelligent, context-aware, and increases productivity. From summarising notes to working seamlessly across screens, its AI features help in everyday use.

And while it is priced on the higher end of the spectrum at RM5,499 in Malaysia, for users who require steady creativity, productivity, and efficiency, it's more than worth the investment.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra isn't just ultra powerful, it's also ultra smart.
