OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently revealed that ChatGPT has become his go-to resource for navigating the unpredictable world of fatherhood
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Altman shared a relatable moment of panic. He was at a social gathering when another parent mentioned their 6-month-old was already crawling.
Worried that his own son hadn't hit that milestone yet, Altman immediately turned to his creation. He said ChatGPT reassured him that his baby's development was still normal, easing his anxiety.

Altman said that while parents have managed perfectly fine without technology for decades, the ability to get immediate answers at odd hours has been extremely helpful
He and his husband, Oliver Mulherin, welcomed their son earlier this year through surrogacy.
However, the Internet wasn't exactly cooing over the admission. Social media users were quick to roast the CEO, with one user noting, "Never used it for kids, but it's great for troubleshooting home repairs."
Others were harsher, with one comment reading, "If you can't raise your child without AI, maybe you shouldn't have reproduced in the first place."
Another user sarcastically remarked, "Most tech bros probably need ChatGPT for advice on how to do anything normally."
While AI can offer quick comfort, experts caution that it should only complement, not replace, personal judgement.
