A robotics company has unveiled a new robot that can perform household chores like doing the laundry
A video posted by Figure AI's chief executive officer Brett Adcock on X has sparked excitement online, with many hoping to get their own robot helper soon.
The video shows the Figure 02 robot in action at Adcock's home.

In the footage, the robot can be seen carefully picking up pieces of clothing from a basket and placing them directly into a washing machine
The impressive feat is powered by Helix, Figure AI's advanced Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model that serves as the robot's brain.
This system allows the robot to process visual information, understand commands, and perform complex physical tasks with its upper body.
Adcock also shared that the technology allows for multi-robot collaboration, with the same task being tested at their office for over a month
The demonstration quickly sparked excitement online, with many users impressed by the robot's capabilities and progress.
"Wow! The progress over there is insane. Keep it up!," one user commented on the video.
However, others were curious to see if it could handle the entire laundry cycle, with one person asking, "Can he sort and fold dry ones??"
While Figure 02 is also being developed for industrial tasks, with trials underway at a BMW manufacturing plant in the US, this home demonstration hints at a future where robots assist with daily chores.
