The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia is set to embark on its 23rd season with a historic 30-driver entry list representing 12 different nations
On Saturday, 28 February, the field converged on the Zhuhai International Circuit for the Official Test Days, marking the first time the updated Porsche 911 Cup (992.2) will be pushed to its limits by the full 2026 roster.
The championship calendar remains a prestigious highlight of the regional motorsport scene. Following the test sessions, the season officially commences as a support event for the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit from 13 March to 15 March.

The schedule also sees a long-awaited return to Fuji Speedway in May, its first appearance in seven years, and a high-octane triple-header at Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit in August.
The season will culminate under the lights of the Marina Bay Street Circuit during the Singapore Grand Prix in October.
For Malaysian motorsport enthusiasts, the spotlight shines brightly on Naquib Azlan
Representing Team Porsche Malaysia, Naquib has successfully transitioned from the virtual world of sim racing to the physical cockpit.
He recently showcased his potential by clocking the fastest time during his second talent pool test session.

Naquib joins a competitive Pro class that features Porsche Junior Marcus Amand, who moves to Team Shanghai Yonda BWT following a dominant guest appearance last year, where he secured two wins at Mandalika.
The Pro category also welcomes French standout Marvin Klein, a two-time Porsche Carrera Cup France champion.
Klein debuts with Absolute Racing in the #88 entry, bringing significant experience from the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
They are joined by a refreshed Talent Pool, which includes returning drivers Rodrigo Dias Almeida and Marco Giltrap, alongside six newcomers such as F1 Academy race winner Amna Al Qubaisi.

He faces a formidable challenge from 2022 champion Lu Wei and last year's runner-up, Francis Tjia.
Meanwhile, the Am class promises a sibling rivalry as 2025 champion Henry Kwong returns to compete against his brother, Eric Kwong.
The duo provided one of the most thrilling narratives of the previous season, with the title decided by a mere four-point margin in the final race.

The Masters class enters its second year following a successful debut
Malaysian veteran Adrian D'Silva, racing for Earl Bamber Motorsport, aims to defend his maiden title against seasoned competitors John Shen and Jacky Wu.
The category proved highly competitive last season, with every participating driver securing at least one race victory.
During the Official Test Days on 28 February and 1 March, drivers will receive 12 hours of track time to familiarise themselves with the new machinery. This preparation is vital as teams eye the Dealer Trophy, where Team Porsche Malaysia will debut as a new entry challenging the defending champions, Team Shanghai Yonda BWT.
