Over 4,000 Pokémon Fans Gather At Sunway Pyramid For 2-Day Tournament

Over 4,000 Pokémon fans gathered at Sunway Pyramid for the Malaysia Master Ball League, marking a record-breaking 176% attendance spike

The Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre in Selangor saw a record-breaking 4,280 attendees join the two-day event during the 2025-26 Malaysia Master Ball League on 9 and 10 May 2026.
While 1,752 players competed in the main tournament, another 2,528 visitors explored side events like Pokémon MEZASTAR and the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG).

The event featured the historic debut of Pokémon Champions, which delivered exceptionally competitive battles
Participation for this new title surged by 217% compared with previous tournaments for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, proving that fans are ready for more.
Winners of the TCG and Video Game Championship (VGC) divisions earned their invitations to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco, US.
These top finishers will represent the nation on the global stage this August.
