Meet Mi Notebook Air, Xiaomi’s MacBook Air Competitor Minus Apple’s High Price

It comes in two variants.

Xiaomi is obsessed with Apple. On 27 July, it took its obsession to next level by announcing it's Mi Notebook Air, which is its first-ever laptop. In terms of looks, anyone can mistake it for MacBook Air:

The thin and light Mi Notebook Air comes two colours: Gold or silver

Just like in two colours, it comes in two varieties: a 12.5-inch model and a 13.3-inch model, which is more powerful of the two models

However, unlike Apple's MacBooks, the aluminium-bodied Mi Notebook Air is without an exterior logo, giving it an ultra clean look

Keeping with Xiaomi's tradition, the Mi Notebook Air, while displaying a stylish look and impressive specs, looks solid for the price. Actually, at 4,999 Yuan (RM3,042) for the 13.3-inch model, and 3,499 Yuan (RM2,129) for the 12.5-inch model, it's a steal!

CNET's Aloysius Low reports that while the flex of the Mi Notebook Air at the keyboard could be better, as it doesn't feel as solid as the Apple MacBook Air, the Mi Notebook Air's keyboard feels great to type on and the keys have just the right amount of clickiness

Set to be available in China from 2 August onwards, there's no word on when, and IF, the Mi Notebook Air arrive elsewhere in the world
