Handheld Gamers Malaysia (HGM), the nation's unified community for portable gaming enthusiasts, has officially announced the return of its flagship gathering, HGM 3.0

This event marks the community's third major annual meetup, designed to unite hundreds of handheld gaming owners and enthusiasts under one roof to celebrate their shared hobby.

Originally founded by local tech media personality ZenTheGeek, HGM has now transitioned into a more formal structure with the appointment of a dedicated committee.

This year's event marks a milestone as the committee takes the reins, with plans to expand these gatherings beyond the capital to other states in the near future.

The gathering serves as more than just a meetup for existing owners; it is designed to welcome curious consumers and families considering their first handheld gaming device

By providing a low-pressure social environment, HGM 3.0 allows newcomers to meet seasoned users who can share practical knowledge, hardware tips, and game recommendations from an authentic end-user perspective.

This educational aspect is bolstered by the participation of high-profile brand partners, including ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) and SanDisk APAC. Both companies will be on-site to showcase their latest gaming hardware and storage solutions while engaging directly with the community to answer technical questions.

The gathering will be held at the iconic ATO Gaming Cafe in TTDI

The cafe provides a fitting atmosphere for the gathering, as it already features readily available console setups, such as the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, for visitors to enjoy.

Entry to HGM 3.0 is entirely free of charge to ensure maximum accessibility for all gamers. The event will run this Saturday, 7 February, from 2.30pm to 11pm.

For those looking to add a bit of extra excitement, the organisers are offering Lucky Draw Ticket Packs for RM20. This gives participants a chance to win various gaming-related prizes while supporting the community's growth.
