Finding a laptop that manages a chaotic 9-to-5 and a late-night Netflix binge-watch is a struggle we all know, especially with tech prices climbing.

Lenovo has refreshed its Yoga 7a 2-in-1, a convertible that promises to bridge the gap between a tablet and a productive workhorse.

I spent some time with the latest model, which features the new AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor, to see if it is worth your hard-earned ringgit.

The Tidal Teal colourway offers a sophisticated look. However, I noticed that the laptop is prone to fingerprints. That said, the device is nice to hold and carry around while I worked remotely.

Starting at RM4,542.66, the device aims to be a solid investment for the average Malaysian user who is looking for an all-round laptop for both work and leisure.

The 14-inch OLED display is the highlight, delivering vibrant colours and deep blacks that made photo and video-editing a massive treat

Its 360-degree hinges allowed me to fold the screen back into "Tent Mode," which was perfect for binge-watching my favourite Netflix shows on my kitchen counter.

The Lenovo Yoga 7a 2-in-1 also comes with a Yoga Pen stylus alongside a pen case, which feels natural for digital sketching or scribbling notes.

Both the case and the stylus are magnetic, meaning you can secure them to the laptop without them falling off. I found this feature handy when I moved about with the device from one space to another.

The battery life is equally impressive, easily surviving an eight-hour workday of browsing, writing, watching YouTube videos, replying texts and emails, and listening to Spotify

Rapid Charge Express provides about three hours of use from a 15-minute charge, though the device feels a little heavy at 1.38kg.

However, this was a non-issue for me due to what the device delivers.

The only downside were the hinges which were quite stiff, meaning opening the laptop required a two-handed operation from time to time. But this wasn't a big deal for me.

For a student or hybrid professional, this laptop serves as a dependable companion that masters many trades.

If you could overlook the extra weight, it's ready to join your daily hustle.
