In a move to support Malaysia's green transition, automobile company Leapmotor Malaysia has officially handed over two units of its all-electric Leapmotor C10 to the Transport Ministry (MOT)

The initiative reflects the carmaker's electrification push and the government's commitment to sustainable mobility.

This collaboration marks a significant step in advancing Malaysia's Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint (LCMB) 2021–2030, which aims to decarbonise the land transport sector.

MOT will use the two C10s for a three-month testing and operational evaluation programme

This trial will gauge the performance, practicality, and overall readiness of electric vehicles in Malaysia's transportation landscape.

The findings are expected to contribute valuable insights to national EV infrastructure planning and encourage wider EV adoption across the public and private sectors.

Priced from RM125,000, the Leapmotor C10 offers D-segment features at a C-segment price point

The latest model now includes a new 32-litre 'frunk' and a boot tonneau cover for better cargo security.

A notable upgrade is the enhanced 11kW on-board charger, which reduces the 30% to 80% charging time from six hours to just four.

The vehicle also comes with a comprehensive six-year or 150,000km warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000km battery warranty, whichever comes first.
