Lamborghini has officially introduced its groundbreaking new Temerario model to the Malaysian market, marking a pivotal moment in the brand's electrified future

This model represents the brand's second hybrid offering within its High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) range, following the Revuelto. It is also the successor to the Huracan released 11 years ago.

Despite its hybrid powertrain, the Temerario retains the iconic Lamborghini silhouette, characterised by its distinctive lines, short and compact overhangs, and "shark nose" front. However, it is the hexagon-themed design elements that visually distinguish the Temerario from other models.

Here are three features that stand out:

1. The silhouette looks absolutely bonkers

The Lamborghini Temerario boasts a design that is unmistakably part of the iconic marque. Its profile is distinctly low-slung, characterised by a slim, swooping glasshouse that elegantly tapers towards the rear. An unbroken shoulder line, stretching from the front fenders right to the taillights, subtly evokes the classic Gallardo. At the same time, a fixed rear spoiler boldly enhances the car's substantial and aggressive width.

What truly sets the Temerario apart is its pervasive hexagonal motif, a visual treat for enthusiasts of geometric precision. This signature shape is meticulously integrated across the vehicle's exterior. It can be observed in elements ranging from the daytime running lights within the front air intakes, the precise cut of the door mirrors and side windows, and the various functional scoops, right down to the central tailpipe, taillights, and even the fuel filler flap and charge port doors.

2. Despite being a hybrid, it's still an angry bull

Underpinning the Temerario's formidable performance is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine. This V8 unit, on its own, delivers a potent 800PS, available between 9,000 and 9,750 rpm, and generates 730Nm of torque across a broad band from 4,000 to 7,000 rpm, capable of revving up to an exhilarating 10,000 rpm.

When combined with its electric motors, the total system output climbs to a staggering 920PS. This immense power enables the Temerario to accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h in just 2.7 seconds, propelling it onwards to a top speed of 343km/h.

The three electric motors draw their power from a compact 3.8kWh battery, strategically housed within the central spine of the chassis. This pack supports AC charging at up to 7kW, allowing for a full charge in approximately 30 minutes. A notable innovation of this electrified system is its capability for the front motors to propel the car on electricity alone, offering a maximum output of 190PS.

3. The signature fighter-jet cockpit look of the interior

Stepping inside the Temerario, the distinctive hexagonal motif continues its prevalence, immediately evident in the dashboard's layout itself. The cabin is designed with an emphasis on both driver engagement and passenger comfort, boasting a high-tech, multi-screen setup.

At the heart of the central console lies an 8.4-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Complementing this is a crisp 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster positioned behind the steering wheel, providing vital driving information. For the passenger, a dedicated 9.1-inch letterbox-style screen offers an independent display, enhancing their experience within the cockpit.

The Temerario is now open for pre-orders

The entry-level Lamborghini starts with a price of RM1,350,000. This figure is before the addition of duties, taxes, and any personalisation costs, allowing for a transparent base price.
