Apple Updated The iPod Touch With iPhone 6 Chip, Making It The Best iPod Yet

You shouldn't give up on the iPod just yet because Apple announced some major upgrades to the iPod Touch yesterday, 15 July

So what major upgrades you may ask? Let's start with the camera…

The new iPod Touch will be equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera and an improved Facetime front-facing camera for better selfies.

The device's iSight camera is capable of taking shooting slow motion HD videos at 120fps in 720p. Record and select parts of the video you want to slow down.

With 4 inches of Retina Display, you can expect crystal clear images and stunning videos

The new iPod Touch will come with iOS 8, the latest operating system by Apple. On a side note, iOS 9 will be available as a free download later this year.

Performance wise, it will take a huge leap over previous the iPod Touch. Featuring the A8 chip – the same chip used in iPhone 6, the device will boast higher performance and longer last battery life

The new iPod Touch will be available in a wide array of colours. No release date and pricing has been confirmed for Malaysia yet.

Yes, the iPod may not be a priority anymore for Apple and the iPod touch hasn't been… touched in years. However, with the addition of the A8 chip and a better camera, the iPod Touch might start slipping into your hands soon.
