Apple has announced the new iPhone 17e and a refreshed iPad Air, effectively giving its mid-range lineup a high-end makeover

The new iPhone brought the A19 chip to a more affordable price point, while the iPad Air finally received the M4 treatment.

The device comes in three elegant colours — black, white, and a new soft pink — and is protected by the tougher Ceramic Shield 2.

It features a 48MP Fusion camera with a 2x telephoto option, alongside the new Apple-designed C1X modem for faster mobile data.

The phone also includes the Action button and satellite-based safety features, such as Emergency SOS and Find My.

The updated iPad Air features the M4 chip, which provides a 30% speed boost over the M3 model and significantly better graphics for gaming

It is available in two sizes — 11-inch and 13-inch — sporting 12GB of unified memory to handle AI-heavy tasks with ease.

Apple also integrated the N1 wireless chip, which enables Wi-Fi 7 and better Bluetooth reliability for the tablet.

The cellular models benefit from the C1X modem, which offers up to 50% faster data performance than the older Air models.

Accessories like the Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard remain compatible, making it a versatile choice for students and creators.

The 11-inch model starts at RM2,799, while the 13-inch version begins at RM3,699, respectively.

Pre-orders for the devices begin on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, with official availability starting on 11 March 2026
