Chery's sub-brand iCAUR has officially launched its first model in Malaysia, the iCAUR 03, which was first previewed at the Malaysian Auto Show (MAS 2025)
This new electric off-road SUV is available in two powertrain configurations: a two-wheel drive (2WD) setup and an all-wheel drive version branded as Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD).
The exterior exudes a commanding presence, both on and off the road

The iCAUR 03 sports a bold, boxy design on a reinforced all-aluminium body with integrated battery armour for enhanced safety. Its front is defined by a full-width blacked-out light bar and distinctive i-shaped LED daytime running lights, a signature motif mirrored in the rear taillights.

The rear taillights are cleverly integrated into a tailgate storage box, while other highlights include automatic rain-sensing wipers, a panoramic sunroof with a sunshade, and functional roof rails.
The rugged vibe continues inside, with prominent grab handles on the centre console and a distinctly vertical dashboard
The steering wheel is notable for its Tesla-style control knobs, while the signature "i" motif from the exterior reappears on the steering wheel and on the dashboard between the central air vents.

At the heart of the cabin is a large 15.6-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, paired with a 9.2-inch digital gauge cluster for the driver. Comforts include dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, and both front and rear ventilated seats.

It also features an eight-speaker sound system, rear aircon vents, and four USB ports (two Type-A and two Type-C).
The driver's seat is fully powered with lumbar support, a memory function, and a welcome feature. In terms of practicality, the iCAUR 03 offers 450 litres of boot space that expands to 1,238 litres when the rear seats are folded.

The standard iCAUR 03 is equipped with a 65.7 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery pack
For a significant boost in performance, the iWD variant adds a front motor. This increases the total output to 279hp (205kW) and 385Nm, which slashes the 0-100km/h sprint time to a brisk 6.5 seconds. The top speed remains electronically limited to 150km/h. This version uses a larger 69.8kWh LFP battery, yet offers a slightly reduced range of 418km (NEDC) or 364km (WLTP). Its charging specifications are identical to the 2WD model.
Both the 2WD and iWD variants of the iCAUR 03 come standard with vehicle-to-load (V2L) at 3.2kW, allowing the car's battery to power external devices.
In addition to the standard two variants, the iCAUR 03 is also offered in a limited Black Phantom Edition

Only 100 units of this special edition are available. This exclusive version costs an additional RM20,000 and features an exclusive exterior bodykit, a matte-black finish, a roof rack platform, and a side-ladder.

Here's how much these cars cost:
The iCaur 03 2WD is priced at RM119,800 while the iWD variant goes for RM129,800. Both are available in five colours: Silver, Grey, White, Black, and Aurora Green.
The car comes with a comprehensive warranty package: a seven-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000km warranty for both the battery and the high-voltage drive unit. This includes a one-to-one battery replacement if the state-of-health drops below 70%.
