HONOR Malaysia celebrated its fifth anniversary by turning the spotlight on Malaysians who helped propel the brand to the top
On 4 February, the brand held its HONOR of Malaysia 5th Anniversary Gala to thank the fans, partners, and students who helped it secure the No. 1 market share for smartphones and tablets in Q4 2025.
President of HONOR South Pacific Justin Li noted that while the journey was challenging, the brand remained consumer-centric throughout.
Li said it felt as though the company had achieved a decade's worth of progress in just five years.
He added that its products are refined through real-world testing by local beta users rather than just sitting in a laboratory. The event also served as a launchpad for the HONOR of Malaysia Awards Project.
"Today, it is rewarding to see HONOR become the 'Pilihan Utama Rakyat Malaysia'. We are deeply grateful to the dedicated community that has stood by us, sharing our products and philosophy with steadfast loyalty," he said.

The HONOR of Malaysia Awards Project, a long-term corporate social responsibility initiative, aims to recognise ordinary Malaysians who have devoted their lives to serving society
Officiated by Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, the project seeks to support unsung heroes as the brand enters its next growth phase.
Three remarkable individuals received the inaugural awards for their contributions to the community. Among them was Mohd Adli Yahya, the founder of the Autism Cafe Project, which has supported over 100 autistic individuals since 2016.
The project focuses on building independence and inclusive employment for those on the spectrum. Another recipient, Prakash Surriyamurthy, affectionately known as Cikgu Prakash, was also honoured.
Despite being visually impaired, Prakash has spent 16 years travelling by train across the Klang Valley to teach Bahasa Melayu and Sejarah. His dedication to his secondary school students has made him a well-known figure in the local education scene.
The final award went to Siti Normala Adrus, or Mak Jah who operates a food stall offering nasi campur for RM3. She even provides free meals for students every Tuesday.
Guided by compassion, Siti Normala ensures that nutritious food remains accessible to lower-income communities in memory of her late family members.

Looking ahead, HONOR announced a National Photography Tour to support the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign
This initiative invites photographers to document the country's landscapes and cultural heritage using mobile devices.
Selected works will be featured in the HONOR Global Exhibition 2026, showcasing Malaysia on a world stage.
"As HONOR grows in Malaysia, we aim to deepen our roots by evolving from a preferred brand into a pillar of society," Li said, adding that the brand remains focused on creating meaningful technology experiences while contributing to the local community.
