Earlier this week, I stepped into the Dyson Global Headquarters in Singapore for a closed-door media briefing, just days before James Dyson revealed the brand's latest lineup in Berlin
The showcase featured Dyson's latest technology in vacuums, air purifiers, a robot cleaner, and hair care.
What struck me most was how Dyson is applying its signature engineering mindset — shrinking motors, refining airflow, and solving overlooked pain points — across every corner of the home.
Speaking with Dyson's engineers at its 2,000-employee headquarters in St James Power Station (a former power hub now transformed into the company's HQ) gave me a deeper appreciation for the thought and technological breakthroughs behind its latest products.

Here are the seven latest products I tested at the facility:
1. Dyson PencilVac: The lightest vacuum Dyson has ever made

This was hands down the star of the demo. At just 38mm in diameter (which is about the size of your watch face), the Dyson PencilVac feels more like a gadget you'd want to play with than a chore tool.
Its lightweight design makes it incredibly easy to spin and manoeuvre, allowing it to glide effortlessly into low spaces that other vacuums simply can't reach.
Powered by the new Hyperdymium 140k motor (the same size as a 2 Euro coin spinning at 140,000rpm), it reinvents cleaning with fade-free suction, dual laser dust detection, app connectivity, and a hygienic syringe-style bin ejection system.
In the demo room, I was struck by how the rollers on the PencilVac's suction head made it glide back towards me after being pushed forward, a simple yet brilliant feature that makes cleaning feel like a game of catch. But the real benefit is that it allows the vacuum to slip under low furniture and into tight corners without extending your arm too much.
This is the ideal tool for minimalists, or for anyone who wants a lightweight, user-friendly vacuum that won't strain their wrists, making it perfect for elderly parents.
2. Dyson V8 Cyclone Cordless Vacuum: A classic refreshed, now with 60 minutes of fade-free suction

The Dyson V8 Cyclone is the next evolution of Dyson's iconic 2016 model, now offering 30% more suction power (150 air watts) and up to 60 minutes of fade-free runtime in Eco mode.
Its swappable 7-cell battery ensures uninterrupted whole-home cleaning, while a new triggerless power button makes operation more seamless. Gone are the days of sore index fingers from constantly holding down the trigger.
With the motor and battery in the handle instead of the floor unit, it makes it easy to clean up high, down low, and everywhere in between, thanks to its optimum centre of gravity.
The design was so revolutionary that competitors quickly copied it. Now, Dyson has taken the format further with its latest technologies, including a self-emptying dock, making the V8 Cyclone an even more user-friendly upgrade.
During the demo, I noticed how it stays light in hand while offering all the cleaning heads you'd expect, making it a great option for whole-home cleaning without fuss.
It's an evolution of a classic, and Dyson has made sure existing V8 owners can still use their current attachments, while new users get access to a wide range of compatible tools.
3. Dyson V16 Piston Animal: Built for top-tier cleaning performance throughout the entire home

The Dyson V16 Piston Animal is about power and convenience. Driven by Dyson's next-generation Hyperdymium 900W motor, it delivers a massive 315 air watts of suction while automatically adjusting to different floor types with its All Floor Cones Sense cleaner head.
What stood out for me was the user-friendly design: a CleanCompaktor bin that compresses dust (holding up to 30 days' worth), and a lever that makes emptying cleaner and easier.
Even better is its Remote Release system, which lets you switch between the upgraded Submarine 2.0 wet roller head and dry cleaner heads without the need to bend.
With its improved Submarine head, which picks up debris, washes floors without spreading dirt, and even tackles spills on hard surfaces, it's Dyson's most versatile whole-home vacuum yet.
4. Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene: A smarter, lighter wet cleaner

Wet cleaners often clog, smell, and require messy filter cleaning. The new Dyson Clean+Wash Hygiene solves that by isolating all dirt and dirty water inside the cleaner head.
Its roller is continuously rinsed and cleaned with fresh water on every rotation, a breakthrough technology that ensures you're not smearing the floor with a dirty brush on each pass.
The ultra-absorbent roller, now 30% more densely packed with microfibres and embedded with nylon bristles, scrubs away stains for hygienic, streak-free, and fast-drying results.
Weighing just 3.7kg, it's easy to glide under furniture and clean your entire house. Both clean and dirty water tanks are positioned at the base, reducing strain on your arms and making extended cleaning more comfortable.
To keep floors fresher for longer, Dyson pairs the machine with its 02 Probiotic cleaning solution, which works at a microscopic level. And because the system uses no filter, there's no risk of dirty water blocking ducts or sticking to filters — just cleaner floors with less hassle.
5. Dyson HushJet Purifier Compact: The quietest purifier yet, perfect for light sleepers

Dyson's new HushJet Purifier Compact reimagines what a small purifier can do.
Featuring the brand's new HushJet nozzle, it delivers high-volume airflow while remaining whisper-quiet. In Sleep mode, it runs at just 24dB, which is softer than a whisper, making it perfect for light sleepers.
Despite being a third of the size of Dyson's larger purifiers, it offers 80% of the purification power, capturing 99.97% of pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, a particularly problematic size to capture in the air, as it is too small for inertial impaction. These particles are a mix of tiny irritants, such as some dust mite allergens.
Sleek and stylish (I loved the blue finish in particular), it's a great fit for bedrooms, study areas, or anywhere you want clean air without noise.
6. Dyson Spot+Scrub AI Robot: Finally, a robot that cleans properly with double-triple passes

Most robot vacuums do a single pass and call it a day. Dyson's Spot+Scrub AI robot, however, uses AI-powered stain detection and adaptive cleaning to repeatedly scrub the same spot until it knows it's clean.
In the demo room, I witnessed the robot behaving like a human, double-triple passing a spot to ensure the spilled oats on the floor were completely removed.
The robot also skipped over animal faeces, which otherwise could smear them across the house.
It gets even smarter as it was trained to recognise nearly 200 objects, from cables to pet messes, allowing it to avoid smears and tangles. How many times has your robot vacuum gotten stuck on a cable? With this one, that problem is gone.
Additionally, its roller self-cleans at 60°C with every rotation, while the dock can hold up to 100 days of dirt. For me, this was one of Dyson's most practical innovations yet: a robot that doesn't just look smart but actually cleans smart.
7. Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x: Twice the power with smarter styling

Since its launch in 2018, the Airwrap has been one of Dyson's most iconic beauty tools. The new Co-anda 2x takes it to the next level, powered by Dyson's fastest and most powerful Hyperdymium 2 motor.
Delivering twice the air pressure, it wraps hair more easily, dries as fast as a full-performance hair dryer, and creates sleek, straight looks without heat damage.
It's a true 6-in-1 multi-styler, offering versatility for drying, curling, waving, straightening, smoothing, and volumising.
The new Airsmooth2x attachment works like a tuning fork, using hot air instead of hot plates to smooth hair with less damage, while the tighter Co-anda wrap barrels give more voluminous curls.
In the demo room, we watched trainers reduce a typical 20-minute hair curling routine to just 12 to 14 minutes.
The attachments are smarter, too. Each attachment is fitted with an RFID chip that adapts the ideal temperature and airflow, and even remembers your preferences through the MyDyson app. That means every styling session is tailored to you, automatically.
Available in three colours, Ceramic Pink, Jasper Plum, and Amber Silk (October launch), the Airwrap Co-anda 2x is built for red-carpet-ready looks at home, faster than ever.
All the products will soon launch in Malaysia. To find out when they reach our shores, follow Dyson Malaysia on Instagram here or sign up for the Dyson newsletter here.
