If you've ever found yourself fumbling for a toll card or struggling to position your car perfectly at a toll booth, you know how frustrating highway travel can sometimes be

To make journeys smoother, Chery Malaysia and Touch 'n Go have signed a new strategic partnership to simplify toll payments.

Starting now, customers who purchase selected new models from Chery, Omoda, JAECOO, and iCAUR will receive a branded RFID tag bundled directly with their vehicle

Instead of having to buy a tag separately after picking up your new car, the system will be ready to use from day one.

For the everyday driver, this means one less errand to run and a smoother, "barrier-free" driving experience. By integrating the technology at the point of purchase, the companies aim to take the hassle out of your toll payment setup.

While it may seem like a small addition, this partnership highlights how essential RFID technology has become for modern Malaysian commuters

The RFID tag allows for a more fluid experience at toll booths, reducing the need to stop or search for cards.

The system is also designed to be compatible with both current and future tolling systems, such as Single Lane Fast Flow (SLFF) and potential Multi-lane Fast Flow (MLFF) infrastructure. This means your car is already equipped for future upgrades to how we pay for road usage.

Chery is focusing on providing a "smarter" ownership experience, ensuring that basic but necessary tools for the road are taken care of before you even drive off the lot.

This collaboration is part of a larger push to support Malaysia's move towards digital mobility

Beyond just the hardware, Chery and Touch 'n Go also plan to work together on future campaigns to help more drivers understand how to use and benefit from RFID technology in their daily lives.
