OpenAI is transforming ChatGPT from a simple chatbot into an all-in-one platform by integrating third-party applications directly into its interface
Announced at its annual DevDay 2025 conference, the new feature allows users to access interactive apps from companies like Booking.com, Figma, Coursera, and Canva without leaving their chat.
According to Tech Crunch, this means you can now prompt ChatGPT to design a graphic in Canva or find an apartment using Zillow, with interactive maps and videos appearing directly within the conversation.

According to OpenAI, users can access these tools simply by typing an app's name or by making a request that would benefit from a specific service
"We want ChatGPT to be a great way for people to make progress, to be more productive, more inventive, to learn faster, to do whatever they're trying to do in their lives better," said OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
This move puts apps directly into ChatGPT's responses, offering a richer experience for users and better visibility for developers compared to the previous GPT Store.

More services, including DoorDash, Instacart, Spotify, and Uber, are expected to be available, with OpenAI planning to support ways to monetise these integrations
However, key questions around privacy remain, particularly over how much user data third-party developers can access.
OpenAI has stated that developers must collect only the minimum data they need, but it's unclear how ChatGPT will choose between competing services like DoorDash and Instacart.
