Apple has officially launched Tap to Pay for Malaysian iPhone users
The feature, made available starting today 22 April, allows merchants to accept contactless payments without a payment terminal.
By collaborating with payment platforms and developers, the tech giant aims to simplify transactions.
Businesses of all sizes, from roadside stalls to major retailers, can now skip bulky hardware and use their own devices instead.

To use the feature, merchants need an iPhone 11 or later running the latest software
Customers simply hold their card or digital wallet near the iPhone to complete a payment securely using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
With privacy being fundamental to Apple's design, transactions are encrypted and processed using the Secure Element.
Apple stated that it does not store card numbers or transaction information on its servers or devices.
The system supports major networks like Visa, Mastercard, and MyDebit
This move effectively turns every compatible iPhone in Malaysia into a portable, secure, and encrypted payment hub.
Apple confirmed that the capability would also be coming soon to the Apple The Exchange TRX store for checkouts.
This rollout ensures that small-business owners can take payments wherever they happen to be working.
