Muiz, from Pokok Sena, Kedah, said he did not expect to be selected to be part of the Malaysian delegation, but expressed his excitement for the opportunity to showcase Malaysian flavours to the world
He said the experience has been rewarding, especially after receiving overwhelming praise and positive feedback from international visitors.
"After they ate, many would come up and say 'oishi' (delicious). Some even repeated it seven times!" he said, adding that most visitors are from Japan, South Korea, and China.
Meanwhile, Zul, from Penang, hopes roti canai's popularity at the expo will spotlight Malaysian cuisine on the global stage and inspire more tourists to visit the country.
"I hope the Malaysia Pavilion roti canai becomes the number one dish at Expo 2025," he said.
