[Rita Gabiola](https://www.facebook.com/RitaGabiolaBadjao/) became popular after a netizen took candid photos of her while asking alms with her younger sibling. We wrote a story here:

As we all know, [Jeyrick Sigmaton](https://www.facebook.com/jeyricknatics1/?fref=ts) or Carrot Man is a farmer from Mountain Province who became popular after a netizen posted a photo of him carrying a a sack-ful of carrots on his shoulder. Next thing we know, he's all over social media.

With this in mind, netizens are apparently not happy with the fashion shoot, because the transformation is a 'pretentious move to eradicate poverty' in a blinding but enchanting way

Community [Ignore Rants](https://www.facebook.com/IgnoreOurRants/?fref=nf), a page representing the youth believed that the transformation of the two were too superficial.

One takeaway from the Carrot Man and Badjao Girl thing is that people are generally good to you if you are good-looking….

Apparently, most people only notice IPs when they're "photoshoot-material" and thus, "sellable".
