The Malaysian Paralympic contingent is receiving a lot of praise for their outfits at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games opening ceremony
This was especially after Tokyo 2020 organising committee cheekily tweeted "Aiyo!" at team Malaysia's march in during the Parade of Nations last night, 24 August.
"We just wanted an excuse to use that. We just love your outfits Malaysia!" the organisers added in the tweet that has since garnered over 12,000 retweets and over 18,000 likes.
The Malaysian 10-person Paralympic contingent was led by flagbearer and powerlifting champion, Bonnie Bunyai Gustin, along with national sprinter, Siti Noor Iasah Ariffin.

The Paralympians' opening ceremony outfits were designed by Universiti Teknologi Mara's (UiTM) art and design faculty
According to Utusan Malaysia, as with the Olympic team, the Paralympic attire was inspired by legendary Malay warrior Hang Tuah's clothes, infused with colours of the Jalur Gemilang.
The men's attire was completed with the tanjak (traditional Malay headgear), an outer coat, and sampin, while the women wore a dokoh (tiered pendant) and selendang (shawl).
The contingent's attire further complemented local culture as it was made with dark blue songket sporting traditional tampuk manggis (mangosteen motifs).
