US magazine Bon Apétit includes Chicken Adobo in their "Greatest Recipe Of All Time" series and we couldn't agree more

The food magazine annually writes their "Greatest Recipe Of All Time" series that is published on their website. Each recipe has a well written article about it explaining why it is their choice.

Editor Amelia Rampe describes it as "enticing perfume of steaming rice combined with vinegar and garlic".

Editor of Bon Apétit Amelia Rampe shares her nostalgia of Adobo saying that when she comes home and smells the Adobo she knew she would be getting her favorite meal

"I cannot remember a time when there wasn't adobo in my life. Coming home to the enticing perfume of steaming rice combined with vinegary, garlicky adobo would make my mouth water immediately and I KNEW I would be getting my favorite meal for dinner."

There are different versions of Adobo and every version "is a winning formula," Bon Apétit writes

She encourages their readers to try the recipe even if "Filipino food can be a scary unknown for some people" but she adds that "it's so easy" to make. She knows that when their readers try it, they will understand why it's the greatest recipe of all time. "Once you take a bite, you'll quickly realize that whatever version of adobo you come up with will soon become your "greatest recipe of all time" too."

Filipino food is underrated internationally

Every Filipino's favorite food growing up is probably our unofficial National dish, Adobo. But that's not the case internationally. Filipino food is not as popular as other asian food like Japanese or Korean but it's slowly getting the acknowledgement that it deserves.
