In case you haven't heard, one of the young independent bands that are making names for themselves in the OPM world is alternative neo-soul band, Midnight Meetings

Influenced by SinoSiKat, The Company of Thieves and Up Dharma Down, Midnight Meetings started after they have had countless "overly energetic" and "capslocked-frenzy" online meetings during, coincidentally, at midnight

"We were always meeting online on Facebook *kasi* to discuss band matters and other interesting things, and it just so happened *na* midnight *ito nangyayare*," bassist Guada Tagalog told [Amplify.ph] (http://amplify.ph/news/index/midnight-meetings-whats-in-a-name).

Midnight Meetings is known for their alternative, neo-soul jazz music, glueing your ears to their songs until the wee hours of the night! Their latest song, Sa Aking Pagpikit is a proof of their neo-soul jazz forte:

The real big news here is that Midnight Meetings has just released an acoustic version of Sa Aking Pagpikit, making them feel nervous and excited at the same time!

"**Sobrang saya kasi hindi pa kami nag-a-acoustic ng original song namin [at] nakaka-pressure at the same time**," said lead vocalist Ashley Gosiengfiao.

Bassist Guada Tagalog admits that it's refreshing to play the acoustic version of their song. "**Bihira kami mag-acoustic so this is refreshing for us… Nakaka-excite rin kasi bagong audience so excited kami makarinig ng feedback and hopefully magustuhan nila**."

"**[This is different from what we've done in the past kasi] GMA siya eh… Malaki yung following so talagang iba 'yung pressure na nararamdaman namin [kaya we hope they will like it]**," added guitarist Ken, according to GMA News.

Here's the full acoustic version of
"Sa Aking Pagpikit". ENJOY!

**P.S. We've never heard Ashley's voice this deep and profound until now!**
