Malaysian Dodgeball Team Wins Silver Medal In First World Cup Appearance

Before the Malaysian dodgeball team left for England to take part in the 2016 World Cup, Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin challenged the team to pull off one or two surprises

The 2016 Dodgeball World Cup was held from 14 to 17 April at Manchester, England.

The team had the perfect answer for his challenge as they came through with a silver medal in the men's category!

They booked a place in the finals after beating Wales 10-9 in a close match.

Sadly, they lost out to host England in the finals that was played at Manchester's National Basketball Arena

The squad lost 3-14 to the more experienced English squad.

While this may seem like a terrible loss, the team had beaten other strong teams including USA and Egypt to make it to the finals
