Feed the Hungry

**About**: Feed the Hungry is comprised of volunteers who just want to help out. It is a regular soup kitchen for the city's hungry people.

**Mission**: *We wish to feed the hungry with whatever we have though it may not be much!*

**When**: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night (7p.m. — 8.30p.m.)

**Venue**: Bank of Commerce Quezon Ave. Corner Examiner St. West Triangle Quezon City

PAWS

**About**: Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) aims to enhance the Filipino's awareness and interest in animal welfare. Schools too are making field trips to the shelter, presenting humane educators the opportunity to teach these young minds on the importance of showing compassion and developing an empathic attitude towards all animals.

**Mission**: *The Philippine Animal Welfare Society exists to prevent cruelty, alleviate pain, fear and suffering in animals and to promote a society based on humane principles.*

**How you can help?** Share your talent, skill and passion for the animals!

**When**: 7 May 2016 (10a.m.)

**Venue**: PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center (PARC), Aurora Blvd. Katipunan Valley, Loyola Heights, Quezon City

**Note**: Please bring your own snack or drinking water, P50 for the photocopied materials. Also, **please bring 1 tall can of cat food as orientation fee**.

**Reminder**: Volunteers must be prepared to render at least eight (8) hours a month doing work for animal welfare at the shelter or outside the shelter  to be in our active volunteer database.

Project Pearls

**About**: Project PEARLS turned the weekly feeding program to a "Daily Soup Kitchen". The aim is to provide healthy meals to the most malnourished kids and to ensure that they do not go to school with empty stomachs.

**Mission**: *Our vision is to end child poverty as poverty denies children their rights to health, nutrition and a basic education.*

 **How you can help?**: Setting up the feeding area, distributing the food, and supervising the children while they are playing. Project Pearls welcome volunteers who love playing and interacting with kids!

**When**: Monday to Friday (7.30a.m. — 9.30a.m.)

Cancer Warrior Foundation Inc.

**About**: Cancer Warrior Foundation is the living legacy of a cancer survivor and passionate volunteers who believe that no child should fight cancer alone. Funds raised go to the treatment and family assistance for poor kids with cancer.

**Mission**: *The Cancer Warriors Foundation is the embodiment of a dream – that no Filipino child, especially the underprivileged ones, will suffer a diminished quality of life because of cancer.*

There are options for group volunteering:

**Juan Builds** combine teambuilding and corporate social responsibility or outreach. Through Juan Builds, each Juan can do it.

**Global Village** invites teams from around the globe to work alongside families in need of decent homes and learn the Filipino culture. Team members not only raise funds for their trip but also raise funds to donate to build homes.
